With last week's post about Aldo's sparse tail, I was disappointed that I couldn't snag a photo of the last few remaining feathers fanned out. But I stumbled across the perfect photo when sorting through old files on my computer. This one was taken in 2017 as he took a bath in the rain. Like this year, just a few full-length tail feathers remained in the center and were surrounded by shorter, fresh feathers growing in.
