Sunday was a warm day, so I filled up buckets of water to give the birds bath pans one more time. It was funny to see their different bath styles.
Aldo the American Kestrel jumped down to it right away. After a minute contemplating his reflection from the edge of the bowl, he hopped in and started splashing vigorously.
Carson the Red-tailed Hawk was also eager to check out her bath. She flew down and stepped into the water. And simply stood there. She prefers a gentle foot soak.
Finally I brought a water pan in for Otto the Great Horned Owl. He looked rather alarmed at the new piece of furniture in his mew. He didn't go down to explore, but I can only hope that he decided to hop in after sunset.
