Skin

When I find a wet wad of shed skin in Scuba the salamander's water dish, I normally toss it in the trash as I quickly clean his space before the Museum opens at 10:00. But this time I decided to examine it closer. Spreading out the folds was like trying to smooth out a wet paper towel wad. The skin was so thin that it was transparent and I focused carefully to avoid tearing it. As it unfolded, I began to see a tail take shape, portions of a few legs, and even individual toes on one foot!
