Ice

With such warm weather lately, I figured the birds might like a cold treat. I left a few ice cubes on Carson's perch along with more cubes wrapped in newspaper. She studied them carefully for a few minutes, then grabbed the newspaper in her talons. This seemingly familiar toy, a favorite item for shredding, must have surprised her as she felt the cold cubes under her toes. It was certainly a good way to cool off on a muggy morning!
